An easy-to-make fall dessert, mother Poulard's roasted apples in half-salt are both delicious and deliciously flavored.
Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 1h15
Ingredients for 4 persons :
- 4 apples (Boskoop, Reinette from Canada)
- 2 teaspoons ofcinnamonin powder
- 60g caster sugar
- 60 to 80g of butter (half fresh butter / half-salted butter)
- 1 spoonful of redcurrant jelly or strawberry jelly or jam
- Some flaked almonds
- A few spoonfuls of water
Roasted apples in half-salt
> Wash the apples without peeling them. Remove the center with a small apple corer.
> Incise each apple halfway up (stab around it).
Heat the oven to 180 °.
> Mix the cinnamon, sugar, semi-salted and fresh butter. Distribute this mixture in the hollow center of the apples.
> Arrange the apples in a buttered gratin dish. Add a few tablespoons of water around it and cook in the oven for 1h15 or even 1h30.
> Baste well and put on each apple, out of the oven, a teaspoon of redcurrant jelly or strawberry jelly or jam and sprinkle with a few slivered almonds.
> Serve in the hot baking dish.
